Ten (10) $1000 Scholarships will be awarded this year
Scholarship awards will assist with the cost of tuition, or fees, books, and supplies. Awards are for undergraduate study only and will be awarded to the college or university in which the student is enrolled in for the upcoming fall year.

Christian Devonn Long
Christian was a senior at Lawrence North High School who exceeded a 3.9 GPA. He was accepted and had received scholarships and grants to Indiana University in Bloomington, IN where he planned to study medicine. He enjoyed personal fitness and fashion, and was committed to being successful in his classes while working a part-time job. He was most passionate about helping others. Whether it was reaching out to a friend or neighbor with a kind word or spending a week each summer helping with home repairs for communities in need, Christian found great satisfaction in meeting the needs of others. He passed away February 26, 2016. Christian will remain in our hearts and his life will continue to bless others through the Christian Long Scholarship Fund.

About
Keisha Kirkland
Keisha, a native of Danville, Kentucky, attended the University of Louisville and later Life University. During her senior year at Life University, Keisha learned she had pituitary macro adenoma. After several brain surgeries, temporary paralysis, and a painstaking recovery, Keisha beat the diagnosis. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University, graduating with honors in 2000. She was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
Keisha, a healthy non-smoker, was later diagnosed with lung cancer in 2008. A former WYFF News 4 weathercaster, she lost her battle with lung cancer at the age of 41. Keisha was married to former Clemson star and NFL All-Pro linebacker, Levon Kirkland. They have a daughter, Kennedy.
